Turning Point welcomes all survivors of human trafficking into our program which includes emergency shelter, transitional housing and additional comprehensive services to support survivor-driven healing and stability. These new programs are an exciting addition to Turning Point services.
- All survivors of trafficking (labor or sex) regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ability, or sobriety. Survivors and their minor children are welcome in our housing units. As many survivors of human trafficking do not use that language to describe their experience, we also accept referrals from community partners and our internal programs of people who may have been trafficked but are uncertain about using that label to describe their experience.
- Our trafficking program provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, forensic nursing, first response advocacy, and all other established supports Turning Point offers to address complex trauma including individual and group support, life skill information, and advocacy.
- Survivors of trafficking can be referred to emergency shelter, crisis intervention or in person support at a safe location via our 24/7 hotline: 586-463-6990 or by emailing humantrafficking@turningpointmacomb.org.
