Mount Clemens, Mich. – June 4, 2026 - Turning Point, an agency whose mission is to empower survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking through comprehensive services and resources, will be hitting the links for the 10th year as the organization presents its annual Survivors Golf Outing at Cracklewood Golf Club in Macomb on Friday, August 28. Turning Point President and CEO, Sharman Davenport, Ph.D., is eager to welcome back a golfing community that tees off with Turning Point’s mission top of mind.

“Our annual golf outing is not only fun, it’s a day of purpose,” Davenport said. “It is a great way to engage supporters of Turning Point and is another opportunity to raise awareness of the pervasiveness and devastating impacts of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.”

Turning Point offers a 24-hour hotline, counseling and advocacy services, transitional and rapid re-housing programs, shelter, legal advocacy, personal protection order (PPO) assistance, forensic nurse examiner and first response advocacy, and community education and prevention efforts. It also operates a resale shop, Second Hand Rose, in Clinton Township, that provides support to survivors and the community.

This year’s outing is made possible by the Ace Sponsor, Jim and Julie Huttenlocher, Eagle Sponsor, Superior Electric, and Anniversary Sponsor, GRIT Technologies. The outing is a scramble, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The day will include course games and prizes, raffle baskets, a hole-in-one contest, lunch, drink tickets, and a post-golfing dinner. The price is $175 per individual or $600 per foursome. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and raffle basket donations are being accepted until August 1. Cracklewood Golf Club is located at 18215 24 Mile Road in Macomb, Michigan. More information and registration can be found here.
